Your tasks as Manufacturing Engineer
Responsibility for devising and designing welding jigs and other production tools.
- The basis for this is the CAD model of the product, together with the machine operators and welding programmers you think about how this product can be optimally clamped, welded, machined to maximize the welding department throughput.
- Work effectively with colleagues from the various departments, always focusing on a reliable and efficient production process.
- The output is a practical design with accompanying production drawings. There is also the possibility to help build the jigs yourself.
Actively part to think along with our lean coordinator how we can set up processes efficiently.
- Sometimes tools are needed for this, but it may also be that a process step can be carried out in a better way.
Building the connection between the design process and production.
- During the product design actively thinking about the manufacturability, always keeping the entire production process in mind and the final cost price is an important consideration.
- Finally, during the industrialization phase you will also supervise the step from prototype to series production.
- Sometimes the part has to be altered slightly to optimize production, you are capable to discuss this with the mechanical engineer.

Your qualifications
- Educational level: HBO mechanical engineering or MBO-4 with relevant experience and HBO working level.
- You bring experience with manufacturing processes in mechanical engineering / production plants.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to balance priorities between different processes and departments complete your profile.
- You are proactive and like to think in solutions instead of problems.
