What you'll be doing
As an all-round Electrical & Instrumentation /Automation engineer with field experience you like to combine technical expertise, practical know-how, and problem-solving skills. A strong commissioning background will make you excel in this job. A whole team is involved from tender to full operation, each with their own expertise. You will be involved in designing and developing electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems. In addition and depending on the E&I workload, you are responsible for the commissioning and initial startup on the bio-LNG plant location.
Alongside this, you’ll:
Oversee the E&I systems in our own/clients facilities and ensure that these are installed correctly and function as intended;
Test and start installations and components (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, operating systems (hardware), and software) and contribute to efficiency;
Maintain E&I systems, ensure their proper functioning over time, including routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and implement solutions to prevent downtime;
Make efficient commissioning procedures and be a specialist in the commissioning phase;
Configure the complete installation for optimal process tuning and detecting disruptions and deviations early and finding solutions;
Ensure that all E&I systems meet quality standards and participate in the making of the safety culture of the plant.
Chapter 2
Our plant is up and running. That’s great, but we’re not there yet, we reckon there is room for optimization. New components can be tested and we need someone to help us arrange this on-site. As our technology and business are expanding, so should our operations team. Que: you.
But no matter how revolutionary our technology and projects are: at the end of the day, we’re all about people. We are 30 sustainability-enthusiasts with an entrepreneurial mindset. None of us fit within bureaucratic companies. We all like our freedom and a minimum of ‘company rules’. Just like we like spending time together outside of work. Whether it be mountainbiking, a boat trip, or a casual drink to celebrate the weekend.
Nowhere else,
but here
-
Our own patented technology
that made Shell Ventures hop onboard the Nordsol-train both as an investor, and as a client. -
A bunch of pioneers in sustainability,
building their own company, carving out an entire new route for the energy transition. -
Freedom and entrepeneurship:
bring forth new ideas and help shape both your own job, as well as our sales team.
What you'll also get
- The chance to develop and expand our innovation, along with a small and cracking team of engineers.
- Everything you want to learn about bio-LNG and plant operation
- A hybrid working place, 27 vacation days, 100% paid pension scheme and expenses.
- An annual contract which we'd happily extend, training and plenty of opportunities to grow.
What we ask for
- Pragmatic technical problem solving attitude and a strong personality able to show connecting leadership on site.
- Process control / Instrumentation / Automation / Electrical expertise.
- Knowledge of QHSE
- This role requires travel, you are willing to be away from home for periods of about 1 month
- Proficiency in Dutch and English in speech and writing and a work and residency permit for the Netherlands
Our story
It all started in 2009 with the birth of the Nordsol idea: to make a difference for sustainable mobility. In the following years, we focused on developing practical technological solutions to convert biogas into bio-LNG. This new path resulted in designing, building and operating multiple pilot plants, combined with the worldwide patented iLNG technology.
Along the way, more professionals got inspired and joined the team.
