What you'll be doing
Every side of our scaleup is progressing. The technology. The team. The business. And HR. So, hiring our HR Business Partner was just a matter of time. We mainly look for 2 things. The first: big love for sustainability. The second: the attitude of an entrepreneur. With the latter, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our organization’s human resources since you’ll be the one and only to be responsible for HR. The HR Business Partner manages and enhances all aspects of our workforce, ensuring a solid HR strategy, compliance, engagement, and alignment with industry standards.
Furthermore, you’ll:
Create, implement, and maintain HR policies, documents and procedures
Oversee payroll administration and manage compensation & benefits, including salary structures, job evaluations, and employee benefits such as insurance and pension plans
Design and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent, including employer branding initiatives
Define our vacancies in collaboration with hiring managers and select candidates by reviewing resumes and/or conducting initial interviews
Manage HR topics such as absenteeism, case management, employee benefits, on- and offboarding, performance management, employee training, professional development initiatives, etc.
Identify and mitigate risks related to HR and employee relations. Address HR-related matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and employment terms.

This role collaborates closely with the leadership team to develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives. Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills are essential to foster a positive workplace culture, drive data-informed decisions, and manage talent effectively. To be successful in this role you are proactive with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality. You know you’re on the right track when you succeed to maintain the trust all colleagues will give you from the start. Be prepared to get a warm welcome.
As a scaleup in waste-to-bio-LNG, technology is our thing. Still, at the end of the day, we’re all about people. We are 32 sustainability-enthusiasts with an entrepreneurial mindset. What we ask for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, or a related discipline
- Proven experience in HR management; in-depth knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and drive data-driven decisions
- Excellent written and spoken Dutch, as well as English, and a work and residency permit for the Netherlands.
Our story
It all started in 2009 with the birth of the Nordsol idea: to make a difference for sustainable mobility. In the following years, we focused on developing practical technological solutions to convert biogas into bio-LNG. This new path resulted in designing, building and operating multiple pilot plants, combined with the worldwide patented iLNG technology.
Along the way, more professionals got inspired and joined the team.
